Registration process

GBS informs about the offered events and programs on the GBS website www.goethe-business-school.de and if necessary through other media channels. The event specific website and, if applicable, the event brochure provide all important information on the event, including the program, registration requirements/admission criteria, venue, date, time and duration.

This does not constitute a binding offer by GBS to conclude a contract. Registration for the event takes place via the corresponding registration button on the event website. The registrants can enter their data there and transmit the completed form digitally to GBS. The transmission of the registration form does not yet lead to a binding booking. The contract is concluded when GBS confirms the registration in writing.

Terms of payment, fees

The payment of the event/program fees is handled by GBS. If the payment method "invoice" is selected, participants will usually receive an invoice by e-mail from GBS within 5 working days. Unless otherwise agreed, the event/program fee is due for payment in one sum within 14 days of the invoice date without deduction after the invoice has been made available.

Participants must pay the contractually agreed event/program fees in full, even if individual partial events are missed by participants for whatever reason. If the participant is in arrears with payments, the claims of GBS shall be subject to interest at the statutory rate. The right of GBS to prove and claim higher damages remains unaffected. Participants are entitled to prove that GBS has incurred no or less damage. Participants are only entitled to set-off if the counterclaim is undisputed or legally established or expressly recognized in writing by GBS. A right of retention can only be asserted on the basis of counterclaims that are based on the same contractual relationship.

Cancellations / Withdrawal

GBS is entitled to withdraw from the contract concluded up to a maximum of two weeks before the start of the first event date if the event is not held due to failure to reach the specified minimum number of participants or for other important reasons (e.g. force majeure, sudden absence of the instructor) before the start of the event. GBS will inform the participant of this immediately. Event fees that have already been paid will be refunded.

In the event of cancellation of participation of the event/program by participants in writing or text form (e.g. by letter, fax or e-mail) more than four weeks before the start of the first event date, no cancellation fees will be due.

In the event of cancellation by the participant(s) between four weeks and two weeks before the start of the first event date, 50% of the agreed event fees will be due. In case of cancellation by the participant(s) less than two weeks before the first event date or in case of cancellation of the already started event, the agreed fees are due in full. In these cases, participants are at liberty to prove that GBS has suffered a lesser loss.

The exercise of the participant's statutory right of withdrawal remains unaffected by this.
