STUDENT WORKER (ALL GENDERS) OFFICE OF ACADEMIC RECORDS (PRÜFUNGSAMT)


We are seeking a motivated Student Worker (Studentische Hilfskraft) to join Goethe Business School Office of Academic Records for 20 hours / week max. with immediate effect.

About Goethe Business School (GBS)

GBS is the exclusive executive education platform of Goethe University Frankfurt, offering executives and young professionals a wide range of part-time master programs and executive training. Our focus areas include finance, digital transformation, sustainability, data science, and pharma management.

The GBS Office of Academic Records is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accuracy in managing academic records related to its programs. Our mission is to support students, faculty, and staff to ensure a smooth and successful academic journey for all stakeholders.

Your Profile

You are a student (ideally with at least two semesters completed), for example, in the area of Public Administration (Verwaltung), and eager to gain experience in an international and dynamic work environment. You are a reliable team player with a positive attitude and a professional manner when dealing with students, university staff, and lecturers.

Additionally, you bring the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Information Management Systems (relational databases)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with care
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills in both English and German (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables and formulas)

Your Responsibilities

As a student worker, you will play a key role in the smooth functioning of the Office of Academic Records. Your tasks will include:

  • Data entry and maintenance of student and faculty records
  • Batch processing for course offerings, course enrollments, and examination enrollments
  • Processing grades
  • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of academic confirmations, interim transcripts, and graduation documentation
  • Providing support for inquiries related to academic records from students, faculty, and staff
  • Other duties as required
